The People Behind the Treats
We started Dried & True because our dog has a nose like a truffle pig and an allergy list longer than our grocery bill. When we couldn’t find enough clean, allergy-friendly options for our own pup, we decided to make them ourselves – using only the highest quality, locally sourced, pasture-raised proteins from trusted small farms.

When we could not find the treats our dogs deserved, we decided to make them ourselves.
Dried & True started in our own home, with dogs who made us pay closer attention to every ingredient label. Their sensitivities pushed us to ask better questions: What exactly is in this? Where did it come from? And why are there so many ingredients in something that should be simple?
Those questions changed the way we shopped, the way we fed our dogs, and eventually inspired the way we built this business. We are still involved in every part of the process, from choosing suppliers and preparing ingredients to inspecting and packing each finished batch ourselves.
For us, this is more than a product line. Every bag reflects the standard we use for our own dogs and the trust customers place in us when they choose something for theirs. That responsibility keeps us hands-on, transparent, and unwilling to cut corners.

Every batch begins with ingredients we can identify, understand, and trace back to a trusted source. We carefully prepare and portion them before placing them into the freeze dryer in small, manageable batches.
Once the process is complete, the finished treats are inspected by hand before anything is packed. We look for consistency, remove pieces that do not meet our standards, and make sure every bag represents the quality we intended from the beginning.
We do not outsource the details that matter. Staying close to the process allows us to protect quality, maintain transparency, and continually improve what we make.
It takes more time than mass production, but that is the point. We would rather make fewer treats with greater care than rush something we would not confidently give to our own dogs.
